Elastic IPO shows interest in open source and that companies can be built anywhere and also survive and thrive against the Googles, etc of the world - product led growth is the way to go
hadoop was all the rage and now 2 leaders are merging as cloud has been eating away at market for independent cos - lesson in commoditization from AWS
